2. Yes there is hope for this one. If Democrats decide to break a phantom Republican filibuster.

7. In the House, yes. No way in the Senate. This is an Obama agenda item and no way
republicans will allow this legislative success. It's a filibuster all the way.

8. What filibuster? The phoney pretend filibusters that Democratic Senate leaders permit?

They can bring these bogus Republican filibusters to an end in a heartbeat if they really wanted to. But, it's a convenient excuse for inaction and the pursuit of "bi-partisanship".

10. Six stars on each side, now to find out how my 'congressman' voted
I think 30 some dems voted against, he's most likely one of them.

11. The SENATE has it on their calendar for Thursday
At 11:00am, the Senate will proceed to a series of at least 2 and possibly 3 roll call votes. Those votes will be on the following items.

- Cloture on the motion to proceed to Calendar #663, S.3992, the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act of 2010 (DREAM Act); and
- Cloture on the motion to proceed to Calendar #641, H.R.847, the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010.
- Senator Reid may reconsider the failed cloture vote on the motion to proceed to S.3454, DoD Authorization.

13. The House passed it. See link below for roll call vote
Edited on Wed Dec-08-10 09:18 PM by Tx4obama
Info isn't up yet but it should be soon: http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2010/index.asp
Just click on the roll call # in the first column (once they post it) to see who voted 'yes' or 'no'

15. Looks like the roll call isn't up yet, but here's some info below
Excerpt:

Dream Act, which passed the House 216-198 ....
SNIP
Just eight Republicans joined Democrats to back the bill, while more than three dozen Democrats broke with their party to vote against it.
