Now isn't this just special: nolabels.org
Catch some of these founders:

http://nolabels.org/about-us/founding-leaders/?page=1

I love this little tidbit from their "Talking Points" page:

No Labels is not a centrist, conservative, or liberal movement. In fact, No Labels is not about ideology; it is about an attitude and new approach. We do not ask any political leader to ever give up their label - merely put it aside -- in order to work together and find practical solutions to our nation's problems."

"Post political" is how they describe themselves. Soon enough they'll be casting about for a presidential candidate for 2012. I could see a Mike Bloomberg being attracted to them. Or better said, them to him. I can also see some of our favorite DLC-types auditioning for the gig.

Let's see. What would one do to endear oneself to this gang?

1. Well, by creating their name, they've given themselves a label.
Rather self-defeating - sort of like university 'anarchist clubs' with by-laws and executives . . .

2. Bipartisan.
Won't work for me because I've had enough of a tax cult being labeled economics that pretends that a middle ground could reached around. Progressives or liberals have been shut out of the process in reality.

9. "...a middle ground could be reached around."
I don't know about you but I've about had it with all the "reach arounds" that are being given out in DC for quite awhile now.

12. There is no middle ground.
That is why I'm suspicious of groups that claim they are getting rid of labels and getting people together and work for the country in the current atmosphere.

15. Er, I think you missed my reference to
"reach arounds." Urban dictionary is your friend. ;)

BTW, I'm completely with you regarding the so-called "middle ground, no label" BS. I believe it would have been more accurate had they gone with the "Corporo-Fascist" name instead.

18. They're definitely the experts on that subject.
Then again, they should be. They've had years and years of experience at it.

5. "no labels" looks like a who's who of corporatists...
And I bet if the money trail is followed this merry band of "not about ideology" folks are truly about "For the Corporation" and see the rest of us as serfs to serve them and their mighty corporate masters.

16. Yep. That pretty much sums it up.
And I bet their goal is to eventually "blend" both parties into a no-label party in the interest of "doing away with partisan fighting in order to better serve the American people."

13. Isn't that special?
Look at us! We have the answers as to what's right for America!

How do you know that? We don't have a name, that's how! (Well actually we're named "nolabels.org" but you can ignore that.)

Since we have no name we obviously have all the right answers, plus you can feel all self-righteous and above it all by joining us! :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:
