1. Sounds a little Rove like
Just like the gas prices magically declined right before the 06 election.

EDIT: But I didn't screenshot it, so I can't prove it - my bad.

7. Al Gore reads the drudge report
a picture of his website was on the photo of Gore's office in Time Magazine. All I'm saying is he gets a lot of leaks from newspaper newsrooms that have a history of being factual.

If you are going to chastize me for looking at the Drudge report, you're going to have to hang Al Gore and pretty much anyone who follows politics.

9. He gets a lot of propaganda. Drudge is the first place to go
to get a GOP meme started. The majority of Drudge's items are outright lies and fabrications, but hey Drudge gets ink.

Want a megaphone put on a rabid right issue, go to Drudge. Want some idiotic thing such as Edwards haircut repeated over and over again, go to Drudge.

Drudge is a propaganda tool of the rabid right.

10. I don't know Al Gore, but I'm confident in saying that you, Herman, are no Al Gore....
(gratutitous, yes - it just struck me as funny)

Real response: Chastisement not for *looking*, but for *sourcing*. Gore would NEVER do the latter. You would, and in fact did.

8. I bet Cheney already committed those troops to Iran, not a trip home.
I don't believe for a moment that those reductions in troop levels mean they are coming home. That is way out of their control if one uses their rationale for having troops in Iraq in the first place.

11. Not nearly enough - want all troops home. Bad math too -
1/2 is not 100,000.

So what is their real deal?

12. Since * is planning on such a buildup by year's end, reduction by 50% would be plausible
But is is a fake reduction, since there would be such an increase first.

14. I Think You Hit The Nail On The Head - This Is Perfect Rovian .....
tactics. Buildup the troops to a point that when you reduce the number by 50% you still have a considerable force left behind - but the MSM will all say that *Co reduced the troops by 50%. Makes sense to me.

was a great effort. You like to believe/spread that propaganda? Well, then, good work.

16. He will claim that the Iraqi Government wants them out, so he has to abide..

That way, he cannot credit Congressional Democrats or the Baker-Hamilton Plan.

You know this has been coming!

Think about it.

He was asked the other day what his plan B was, and he stuttered like a 3rd grader that hadn't cracked a book in 6 months.

17. That should make the troops feel great.. I bet they love being GOP pawns
who have to stay there dodging bombs for long enough to be withdrawn for an election stunt :eyes:

18. Now that the Democrats have bought the war, the White House can talk about getting out.
Having read the Times article, it sounds like Gates and Rice are in favor or reducing troops, Cheney & and generals are opposed.

Now that the Democrats have dropped the timetable issue, the Bushies are free to talk about timetables themselves--the most important marker being the 2008 elections.

19. .
But, but, his hineyness said that the boogie man would follow us here if we didn't fight them there, and and what about Iran and all that oil.

He is using the troops again as props although this time it feels more like they would be pawns to help swing votes to the republican candidates.

Boy, rove sure is slick.

I hope no one is buying this.
