83% of 2008 Obama Donors Oppose Tax Cut Extensions
Gregg Sargent got an advance look at a poll commissioned by MoveOn that asked 2008 Obama donors how the felt about extending the Bush tax cuts:

83% of 2008 Obama donors are opposed to extending the Bush tax cuts for income over $250,000 a year
74% are deeply opposed
57% are less likely to support Democrats who support this deal in 2012
51% say the deal makes them less likely to contribute to Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012
Low-dollar donors accounted for 25% of Obama’s 2008 war chest. According to the Campaign Finance Institute, he received 80% more money from large donors (cumulative contributions of at least $1,000) than from small donors. So a decrease in small-dollar donations may not matter that much to him.

Obama assumes Democrats will be there for him regardless in 2012, so it’s much more puzzling that he’s pursuing a deal that only 25% of independents support.

Note to Obama: When you ASSuME, you make an ASS of U and ME!

Never a dime your way again. I regret making the donations I made to your campaign which has yet to end being I cannot count the number of times I've heard you Obama say, "... and during the campaign" ... blah blah blah blah blah ... :puke:

I feel deceived, let down and most of all pissed off!

4. You aren't alone. Look at the mid terms and it's obvious that Obama's
compromises with right wing fanatics is hurting him and the party.

7. i get that. how do they feel about repugs holding hostage middle class tax and UI? cause really
just saying 83% dont like rich extended tax cut is a duh, but not where we sit.

is 83% willing to forgo the middle class tax extention and UI in order to stop the tax cut for rich?

and if that is the case, have they considered the lack of money into economy? and the results

that just makes no sense titling this op as such

12. We shouldn't have to choose.
And Obama was the one who linked those two things. Yet another totally idiotic move.

15. He created the "compromise" and linked these two items.
Two things that have nothing to do with one another and should never have been linked. It was a sophomoric mistake. Now we get to live with it. Thanks, Obama. For nothing.

16. again, disagree. if the compromise was getting middle tax by giving to rich, there would be a roar
that he didn't get enough for giving the tax cut to the rich. he got more out of the deal by including ui. (i assume that is the connection you are talking). he got other things in that agreement too. that is part and parcel of making agreements. he could have done as you suggested and compromised with just middle tax cut. or hell just given to the rich, then waited for repugs to not filibuster when he brought ui back and the other stuff.

your argument fails, in that you are demanding less from him and berating him for getting more. doesn't make sense.

10. Even if I could afford it the next time around
I doubt I would. He'll have to get it from his buddies on Wallstreet.

I donated a little to a couple locals and to Planned Parenthood this year. Getting down to the lint in the bottom of the pocket.
