1. Just as soon as you get Congress to lay off everybody (including themselves)
And not spend another penny. On anything.

2. We are already spending money we don't have. Why is that a problem?
I mean the argument is that whatever you give in tax cuts you will gain back, right?

let's just make the tax rate for every American 100%. Problem solved, deficits over. You're welcome America.

On the other hand, there is a slim possibility that an optimal taxation level exists somewhere between 0% and 100%.

8. It's soemwhere between 40% and 90%
Because those are the tax rates that coincide with every period of growth. Every time the tax rates were lower than that we have had a Depression or some other financial disaster.

7. Maybe History might have a lesson.
The Clinton era taxes created the "Greatest Economic Expansion in History" Letting these Bush* tax cuts expire would get us back to Clinton's tax base. After Bush* got his Tax cuts america Expereinced the "Greatest Economic Turn Around in History" How would you think History would show these Tax cuts on your 0% - 100% scale?

10. The founders
Government is meant to run government and it was given rules on how it collect taxes to do so.
Talking about a 0% tax doesn't mean we can simply ignore the fact that we still need a government and that it must be paid for.

12. My apologies, I didn't think anyone would actually take my post seriously
and think that it's not a bad idea as long as you increase it slightly.
