Rep. Charles Rangel is the author of a new political memoir, And I Haven't Had a Bad Day Since: From the Streets of Harlem to the Halls of Congress. The book describes his Harlem childhood, his service in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, his involvement in the Civil Rights Movement, and his nineteen terms as a congressman representing New York's 15th district. Rep. Rangel is interviewed by Jim Mills, a Senior Editor for Fox News.

Douglas Brinkley, The Reagan Diaries
Historian Douglas Brinkley edited Ronald Reagan's White House diary, published May 22. From the Reagan Library in California, he describes the editing process, and reads what President Reagan wrote about his summits with Mikhail Gorbachev, GOP opposition to the Supreme Court appointment of Sandra Day O'Connor, Israel's 1981 bombing of Iran, and John Hinkley's attempt on his life.

Al Gore, The Assault on Reason: How the Politics of Fear, Secrecy, and Blind Faith Subvert Wise Decision Making, Degrade Our Democracy, and Put Our Country and Our World in Peril
Former Vice President Al Gore discusses his new book with actor and author Harry Shearer. The book argues in favor of what he calls rational public debate, saying the Bush administration is part of a larger trend in which spin prevails over reason.

R. Howard Bloch, A Needle in the Right Hand of God: The Norman Conquest of 1066 and the Making and Meaning of the Bayeux Tapestry
The Bayeux Tapestry was created almost 1000 years ago and tells the story of events leading up to the Battle of Hastings and William the Conqueror's defeat of the English in 1066. Professor R. Howard Bloch guides the audience through the tapestry while explaining symbols, scenes, and events.

Michelle Keener, Shared Courage: A Marine Wife's Story of Strength and Service
Michelle Keener discusses what it is like to be the spouse of a Marine serving in Iraq and what military families do to help each other. Mrs. Keener is the the Virginia state coordinator for Operation Special Delivery, an organization that supports wives of deployed servicemen.
