Iran frees mother sentenced to stoning: reports

Reports say Iran has freed a woman sentenced to death by stoning, and temporarily released a Canadian-Iranian blogger on $1.5 million bail.

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, a 43-year-old mother of two, was convicted of adultery in 2006.

Iran has not confirmed her release, prompting cautious optimism from supporters around the world.

If the government releases her they look like good guys. She will then go back to her old neighborhood
where her neighbors will kill her. The government's hands are clean and the dirty deed is done.
