What really pisses me off...
is the fucking gloating by the dumbasses who are looking forward to the Repub takeover and looking forward to them repealing the New Deal. Apparently those assholes don't think they will ever need any kind of help.

Posted on the Seattle Times opinion comments page:

"What is really funny is that liberals are about to witness the destruction of their charished entitlement programs."

1. Makes me wonder how all these people think they're going to live in their 60's, 70's, and beyond. Do
they really have $500,000 in the bank to retire? Do they have an additional $100,000 for the health insurance? What about the rest of their family members? Have they no parents or grandparents living on Social Security and using Medicare?

2. "Their?" Who's "they?"
They are programs for the whole country. One of the fundamental flaws in right wing thinking is the necessity to divide people up into "us" and "them." Liberals sure like to spend other people's money! Huh? We pay taxes too, you know. When you pay a tax, its stops being your money and starts being America's money. Entitlements consist of America's money being spent on Americans. For the RW point of view to make sense everything has to be "us against the world." You know, against THOSE people: Blacks, Latino/as, the unemployed, the poor, the homeless, non-Americans, non-Christians and non-Jews, unions, public education etc. They cannot see themselves as part of a team working collectively for the common good.

3. Damn...sounds like he was talking about what this message board has become.
Of course the snipes keep throwing a few quarters into Skinners tip jar, and they just keep letting it go on.

4. Additionally if we had won in 2011 we would not be in this predicament
So I am pissed off about that too.
