Big Chill for Papa Rudy (at daughter's graduation)
May 26, 2007 -- The big chill between Rudy Giuliani and ex-wife Donna Hanover was on full display yesterday when both attended their daughter Caroline's high school graduation - but sat as far apart as possible and never spoke.

When the commencement speaker, Sen. Charles Schumer, noted Giuliani's presence and the audience broke into applause, Hanover and her son, Andrew Giuliani, sat stone-faced and didn't clap.

But Hanover and Andrew jumped up and cheered when the Harvard-bound 17-year-old Caroline received her diploma from the tony Trinity School, while Giuliani and his wife, Judith, didn't even crack a smile.

(snip)

Rudy and Judith Giuliani avoided his children and ex-wife by arriving minutes before the ceremony began, entering through a side entrance, and they ducked out 10 minutes before it ended.

8. That's called the republicon heebeejeebee vibe
And it is plug ugly cold, heartless, reptilian as Dickie "Five Military Deferments" Cheney has ably demonstrated over the years while sending OUR sons and daughters off to die for Massive Oil Profits for him and his republicon cronies.

2. OK, I understand Rudy and Donna not speaking to each other,
and I understand Donna not responding to Rudy being there, but I DON'T UNDERSTAND Rudy not at least clapping when his daughter Caroline received her diploma? Isn't THAT the reason he and his new wifie were THERE?

4. So, this greasy piece of shit WENT to his daughter's graduation and DIDN'T applaud her?
Why go?

Just to confirm to the public what a selfish, stupid, dysfunctional asshole of a family man he is?

Hey, if so....MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

What a fucking loser.

6. Apparently, he insists on bringing his current wife
and forcing her on his kids. He could probably defuse the situation if he'd go one-on-one with them and leave the wife home, but he's too pigheaded to realize that.

7. How is it possible that a father would not even smile when his daughter graduates?
That is screwed up.

9. A Small Man Shrinks Smaller
I was at a graduation recently involving a broken family. My wife and I sat with the "mom" and "dad" sat on the other side of the arena. Afterwards, as if this had been rehearsed many times before, after about 10 minutes of congratulating her son, mom vanished and dad and his new wife showed up. I felt awkward and I could only imagine how the others felt...but at least "dad" looked proud of his son.

Sounds like Ghouliani probably showed because he had to. If he hadn't the corporate media would have been all over it...especially the New York media. He probably would have rather been playing with Bernie Kerik or anywhere else, but he had to be there.

But, hey, the Repugnicans just love him!

10. It would appear he went so as not to "look bad" in the eyes of the public
Without caring about the daughter of his that was walking across that stage. I've seen this type of posturing in person. All it does is hurt the child more than if the obligated parent hadn't have shown up at all.

11. I'm guessing Elizabeth Wolff of the N. Y. Post isn't a big fan of Rudy.
Maybe she's more of a Pataki fan.

14. If Rudy can't make peace with ONE person he has difficulty with for the sake of a CHILD
How can he be helpful to our country?
I say this in all seriousness.
