WTF IS THIS?!? Are Google and the CIA spying on me?
I was reading DU this morning and my wife asked me what the flag of Poland looked like so googled it. I went to Wikipedia and clicked the browser back button to refine my search and got this certificate error:

Has anybody else ever gotten this before? What does it mean??? Third party cert makes me think Google is routing through CIA secured servers.

6. there was another thread like yours awhile back.
Eventually some nerdy types figured it out and explained it, but I can't remember what it was. My guess is there's an extra layer of security sometimes with .gov extensions. But I'm just guessing.

We know ALL of our emails and internet journeys are being tracked. So it doesn't surprise me that there would be signage about that along the way.

We're doomed. In a way, it's liberating.

25. I've already done all the bad things they would be looking for
why should I stop now? I dare them to try to make a case against me on what they've gathered. I would welcome the chance to try to show them how illegal their methods are. But they won't. They'll just keep doing it and there's NOTHING i can do about it anyway.

So screw you agent MIke. What a pointless task you have.

7. No, of course they're not.
And could you please speak up when you talk to yourself? We're getting piss-poor recording quality. Or move your mouth closer to your "Scroll Lock" key.

Nobody knows what that key is for. Now you know!

13. WORRY NOT. This is typical browser behavior. WORRY about this instead.

Are domains being blocked to prevent web users from gaining access to political information?

Have you noticed that certain domains are not available in libraries of hot spots, but are on your computer? Why would the State of Utah Educational Network block a domain reporting on election fraud? Likewise for a nation-wide provider of wi-fi hot spots for cafes, etc.

Your own security settings caused that. Looks like your computer knows better than to trust the CIA. That is a goooood thing!

16. You probably accidentally followed a link to the CIA World Fact Book.
ODCI.Gov is another domain for the CIA. And paranoia aside, if the CIA were routing internet traffic to themselves in a way that was even remotely detectible, do you think that they would be using their own public domain names?

17. is ODCI.gov that you're contacting the Office of the Director of Central Intelligence?
If so that would easily explain the mismatching certificate.

23. The Director of Central Intelligence is the head of the CIA.
From time to time a security certificate for a website, an electronic file meant to ensure you are seeing the actual website and that information you transmit to that website is safe, goes bad.

Certificates expire. The CIA and the NSA both use security on their sites to look cool, as I don't really think they're directly connected to their intel networks, and if they are, they're fundamentally vulnerable to hacking.

You're not being spied on, at least by the CIA. The NSA might very well be spying on all of us, however, so I cannot guarantee that.
