One thing I admire about Bush* and despise about Peloisi
With Bush* and he makes no bones about it "everything is on the table". Peloisi from the very get-go takes Impeachment and de-funding the troops off the table. With no evidence given or no idea of what may develop she has unilaterally taken important issue "off the table" and by doing so undercut any bargaining positions the Democrats may have. I think it is an ignorant thing to do. Nothing should ever be off the table until the facts are in..You don't tell the opposition that you will not contest their points and then try and bargain with them on those points. It was lost before it began.

1. Everything is on the table
as long as it's Bush's table, and Bush's things. I don't trust Bush, I don't believe anything he says, and if he said "everything is on the table" then he's lying. I'm sorry that Pelosi says impeachment is a non starter, but sometimes it's reasonable to not begin with "everything" on the table.

5. I don't believe it is ever reasonable to not consider all options
Just because it is on the table does not mean it will be used. It only means all options will be considered. Is that unreasonable?

2. I disagree that with Bush "everything is on the table"
if anything, I find him to be a headstrong and willful ass who never admits error.

8. "Everything" in this case
means nuking Iran, declaring martial law, suspending the Constitution, murdering dissidents, etc.

3. Bush has everything on the table? Yeah, right.
Like definable objectives in Iraq. Or a timeline. Or benchmarks.

Or getting Karl Rove to talk to the media with an open microphone, rather than a cryptic cell phone call at 2 am.

Or forcing Alberto Gonzales to tell the truth about anything.

You don't like Pelosi? Okay, there's a lot of that going around. But trying to tell us the Bush is forthright and "puts it all on the table" is pure fantasy.

6. "With Bush, everything is on the table." Riiiighty-o. But it's behind the ketchup, under the salt
shaker, and if that doesn't work, we'll put it under the tablecloth.

When TF has Bush ever been upfront about anything?!

7. really? What was all that blather against nation-building that
spilled from his mouth in the 2000 campaign? The mendacious monkey always had a hard-on to "kick Sadaam's ass" and had every intention of owning Iraq some day.

17. You *believe* Bush when he says everything is on the table?
After six years of him pulling the same shit over and over and over? The only thing ever on the table with Bush is what he is going to do to appease his base. Period. No matter what he says.
