Rove: "Feed a terrorist, arm a terrorist, train a terrorist, fund a terrorist, you’re just as bad.."

http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2007/06/04/070604fa_fact_goldberg?printable=true

<snip>

Rove suggested, as Bush repeatedly has, that history will ratify the decision to invade Iraq. “You know, the Bush doctrine—‘Feed a terrorist, arm a terrorist, train a terrorist, fund a terrorist, you’re just as bad as a terrorist,’ ” he said. “It’s going to remain our national doctrine, and it’s going to be very difficult, I think, if not impossible, to dismiss this, just as it will be to dismiss the doctrine of preëmption. In the future, the country is not going to let the dangers fully materialize, and we’re not going to allow ourselves to be attacked before we do anything about it. The question was, did we have the right intelligence about Saddam Hussein? No. Was it the right thing to do? Yes.”

1. not only does that last bit not make any sense
but by that logic we need to lock up half of Washington. And the sooner the better.

We have armed so many terrorists around the world, that I am amazed that anyone buys this crap.

7. That is exactly -
what I was thinking. We, as in the US, has been feeding and arming the terrorists of all stripes if it fits OUR agenda.
We trained OBL for crying out loud - to help fight the Russians. In the 70's and 80's we gave all kinds of weapons to Saddam.

So that finger pointing Rove and Bush co are doing needs to have the finger pointed right at themselves.

Does this mean they are eligible for a holiday in Gitmo? LOL! (not that Gitmo is even remotely funny)

I hate when people refuse to see, the actions we have started in Iraq, makes Americans, "US" literally, the terrorists. It is after all in the eye of the beholder so to speak.

Cheers
Sandy
Just like every Muslem is not a terrorist, neither is every American.

6. Exactly!
Bush and his cronies are probably responsible for 90% of the terrorist attacks in the last 6 years.

16. Yet white Christian Failure Fuhrers ain't terr'sts.
Let's look at the definition of "terrorism":

The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

Bewsh (person) illegaly sends soldiers (organized group, albeit mostly unwilling) to fiery mangled deaths in an attempt to exterminate a nation of innocent people and institutionalize a new pro-US government for ideological, corporate and political gain.

Looks like a duck, walks like a duck . . .

17. He knows EXACTLY how the BFEE has funded terrorism for decades - this is just his
typical way of pretending that the BushInc isn't part of it. Mediawhores help him snooker all the poor duped Americans who never paid attention the last 40 years.

The Bushes have used this tactic many times - Remember Poppy Bush acting SURPRISED that Ford would tap him to head CIA since he 'never had any connection to the CIA' before that? Yeah - he had no relations with that small group of assassins he led in the 60s.

18. Then that makes moron* the worst by rovers logic...
you know moron* being the religious nut that he* is, I think chose to use a little passage from the bible to work his* magic in Iraq.

It paraphrase...

"give a bomb to a terrorist, he only blows up one market, show a terrorist how to build a bomb and he can blow up the world."

It appears to me, that moron* has given the insurgents free reign now to blow up what they want, when they want and who they want.

I get so tired of living in an alternitive universe.

21. Wait a sec. "...arm a terrorist? train a terrorist? fund a terrorist?" Is he fucking KIDDING?

Because I have a picture here of an individual who armed, trained and funded 100,000 terrorists in Afghanistan (not to mention a large number in Central America) many of whom went on to be DIRECTLY involved with the formation of Al Qaeda.

***

Now, this individual is deceased, but many of his accomplices and associates are still alive and some are EVEN WORKING IN THE CURRENT GOVERNMENT!

***

Here is the perp:
