Wow, how far things have fallen on the View
After this whole weeks crazy stuff, i had to tune in and see what it would be like without Rosie and man o man its pretty bad. I have never seen something change that much in my life. They are talking about their dogs again, that crazy blonde girls b-day and now as rosie predicted....Lindsey Lohan. The show was kinda interesting to watch because they did discuss things that mattered to the world..from politics to autism. I just think it is so sad that this is what they want. Their ratings were the highest they ever were. These women, sad to say now, are boring. Whoopi isn't helping much either.

1. Heard yesterday that Rosie was being considered (?) for a
time slot opposite the View.

Would that not be appropriate.

2. That was a show that was taped two weeks ago so it was before the whole
"Rosie leaves the show/fights with Elizabeth", etc. stuff.

5. oh my
for a show taped two weeks ago to be discussing a Lindsay Lohan incident is very bizarre. Obviously that girl gets into heaps of trouble on a regular basis!

4. Other than the clip of the Rosie/Elizabeth spat, I've never seen that show.
Seems that I should continue avoiding it. :scared:

7. I caught it when I could, not going to even try since the RW blonde blowhole is staying
& Rosie is gone. No point when Ms. "steel melts at 275˚" is still on with only Joy to curb her stupidity. Good thing she married someone with money. Just keeping their cook in stoves must be a huge part of their budget.

16. Funny, yes, everytime they cook a pizza their stove melts...
that is too funny...keeping themselves in cooking appliances must take up most of their budget?

10. Same here. Only saw clips on other shows.
Clearly, we aren't missing much. Considering all the good shows on TV -- and there are many -- why waste your time with the uninformed babbling of people who are famous - for being famous?

6. Seems to be the way BW wants it
I guess...watch the ratings plunge. I enjoyed the cat fights between her and Elisabeth.

14. that's surprising.......
I know Barbara loved the big ratings that Rosie created and the main reason for that was the politics-type topics. So I'm surprised she would choose to settle for the lower ratings again.

I'd forgotten how mediocre this show was without Rosie's spark. I will NOT watch again either.

12. Both WaWa and EH lied today on The View.
WaWa said that Rosie is welcome back any time. I don't believe that.

Elisabeth lied that she and Rosie are talking and are making up. Rosie has said on her blog that: EH and Kelli have talked at length, EH emailed Rosie and Rosie emailed her back BUT that she did not speak to Elisabeth and probably won't again. So EH lied.

There was a lot of tension on The View today. Whoopi walked on set like she was relunctant to be there. She tried to remain quiet but got drawn into a talkover with Joy.

Joy brought up two names that are a no-no with WaWa: Star Jones and Debbie with the long Greek last name. I feel Joy will be the next to leave or be kicked off. The little Twit will stay.

18. That's not quite true
Edited on Tue May-29-07 05:20 PM by Nicole
Much as I hate defending EH, she never said she & Rosie "talked". She said they were "in communication".
Communications could include email or phone messages relayed by Kelli, both of which Rosie confirmed took place.

13. I saw a few minutes of it at the end of the show........
...there was some guy on talking about his new show. He described it as a combination of American Idol and the Gong show. I was thinking......this is great......NOT! Another stupid show for Americans to focus on!!

Last night I watched part of Idiocracy and that's what this reminded me of. If you haven't heard of the movie, here's a brief summary. The army decides to look at how the lack of intelligence in a future America. So they choose a person of average intelligence and put him in hibernation to awake in a year and see how he adapts to the change in society. Well, the experiment didn't work exactly as planned and he wakes up 500 yrs later. And in this world, he is now considered to be the world's smartest man!

It was an ok movie but the idea of it was particularly appealing to me. Anyway, the last thing we need in this country is yet one more American Idol-type show.

Although I was glad to see Whoopi on The View today!
And I would love to see Rosie get another show opposite The View.

15. This will be The View's loss
No wonder she can't speak to Elisabeth. That's how most Bush-loving war supporters are - they'll stab you in the back. They are extremely hard to make friends with.

19. To be honest,
the View didn't really seem worth watching even with Rosie on. In spite of the fact that many agree with Rosie and it might have been fun watching her speak her mind, what else did that show offer? Seemed to me a serious waste of how ever many minutes it ran for.. Of course, that might just be me and many here might have actually liked it.
