Self described "liberal" heckles Romney for being a Mormon...
okay, I'm on to Mittsy's game here..

Mitt Romney's visit to New Hampshire started on a sour note Tuesday when a restaurant patron declared he would not vote for the Republican presidential contender because of his faith. "I'm one person who will not vote for a Mormon,"

1. I think there is enough in Mitt's platform to criticize
without his religion even entering into a decision to not vote for him.

2. Been seeing that a lot here too.
Really weird posts that cite the Mountain Meadows Massacre as why mormons are unfit for public office.

16. If you're going to cite an incident that happened 150 + years ago
as a reason not to vote for someone or to demean some group, then logically you shouldn't vote for any US politician who is WASP, as they were involved in the Massacre at Wounded Knee, which happened closer in time to us than the Mountain Meadows Massacre. How does anyone not living in Boone Co Arkansas know about this, anyway? The victims came from here, and there is a monument to them on the courthouse square, but I don't see any remembrances or any ceremony taking place there.

4. That's the second "public denouncement" of Romney at an appearance
because of his faith. Smelling like a plant to me.

8. Pretty rare for a liberal to hate on someone because of religion,
and rarer still for a liberal to override normal PC impulses to publicly voice that hate--to someone's face.

14. A better reason not to vote for him..
if this person was indeed a "liberal" is that he's a right-wing scumbag.

13. Rant against insipid journalists number -- lost count
One guy in a bakery has a beef against Mormons. (Very newsworthy.) He won't shake Mitt's hand. He's also a liberal, and plans to vote for Hillary. Darn those bakery-loving, Mormon hating, Mitt-snubbing, Hillary-loving liberals!

Poor Mitt. The guy is rich beyond the dreams of Avarice, has the republican presidential nomination handed to him on a silver platter by his corporate / military-industrial-complex sponsers, and has his mug plastered all over news shows and magazines as the "savior of the republican party."

Yep. It must just be a living hell to be him.

People that fall for this BS remind me of the people who complain about their favorite baseball player getting ripped off because his contract is only for 15 million dollars a year, when they themselves can't even make their rent at the beginning of the month.

25. I thought one of the definitions
for Liberal was tolerance for others?

If this person is intolerant because of his religion then by defintion..he's not a liberal. Can't have it both ways.

Women are chattel for the men.

Minorities are lower life forms.

An Angel gave me the word of god on some golden tablets that no one could see, but me, (when i looked at them in the bottom of a top-hat).

21. The Mormon church's modern-day patriarchy and misogyny are
reason enough to hate them. They are Christofascists of the HIGHEST order - seriously into theocracy - even though the Christian fundies hate them as cultists.

The sordid history of murder and polygamy is just icing on the cake.

24. I have to say
I take political candidates religious affiliations very seriously when I vote. If someone holds a lot of beliefs that I feel are ridiculous and offensive, I usually don't vote for them. I don't see why I shouldn't have that right.

Of course I do see that Mitt is trying to play this as "liberals are anti-religious." This is what the right always does. What's new here?

19. Maybe it was that same guy who would show up at the Kerry rallies with his young daughter
holding up a Bush-Cheney sign, and his older, teenaged sons would pretend to be "Union Thugs", come and rip up the Bush sign, at which point an attempt would be made to get any press people around to notice as the little girl began to cry on cue.

Anyone remember that guy's name?

"you're a corporate stooge, a homophobic bigot, and you openly want to destroy the middle class in America while simultaneously gutting social security and giving billions more dollars in tax cuts to greedy multinationals so they can use the money to easier offshore our jobs" and he didn't just hear "I will not vote for a Mormon"?

and a corporatist tool.

Well, I will, anyway, if I get the chance. No need to bring religion into it at all. He just sucks, period.
