So I guess we can get happy in September. Why? Cuz the Republicans told us (the majority - ha!) we can. The vaunted, greatest-to-ever-have-lived-General-in-the-history-of-the-world, Gen Patreus, will give us an honest assessment then. The Republicans are all warbling on that they 'better see results' or they're gunna turn on Georgie Ginblossom.

Until then, of course, we can't do anything.

Sometimes it seems like some of the people on our side were the ones on the playground who gave their lunch money to the bully so he wouldn't hit them.
