Unless Gore Runs, Congressman Kucinich has my vote
Edited on Tue May-29-07 05:40 PM by berni_mccoy
Mr. Kucinich has my vote because he speaks the plain truth. He has been right in the past and has suffered both politically and financially for it. He should receive the Kennedy Award for Courage in Politics. He has held true to his principles in the past despite being slammed for it. When he was proven right in the end, he was gracious about it and all the while, during his suffering political and personal woes, he continued his work to making the world a better place. The only other possible candidate who could have this said about them is former Vice President Gore, who I do hope runs, and if he does, he should select Mr. Kucinich as his running mate.

I just made a donation to Rep. Kucinich's campaign for 2008. I hope many here at DU do as well.

:kick: for Kucinich!

13. the context?
i wish i knew. But as disclaimed above, i saved it from a John Kleeb post during the 2004 primaries, i think...

I don't even know if the young Kleeb is still posting here, it's been awhile since i've seen his input.
But it was a photo he had taken i believe, and had signed by them both.

my dream ticket.

In a caucus state, I can always switch to Gore or Edwards in Spokane or Denver when that becomes necessary.

14. Yes...I worked for Kerry but donated to both of them last time because I wanted Kucinich to be HEARD
Looks like it's back to that again. But, unless Gore runs ...I'm not working for the others...and although I know Kucinich doesn't have a chance...I want his message to be heard.

How long do we go with these Primary things where it's all chosen so far ahead.

I'm not into DYNASTIES and I'm not into INEXPERIENCE...that kind of knocks out...the two front contenders I'll be forced to accept. But...I've had enough. Front Runners throw Dem Actists under the Bus as fast as they can. That we got Howard Dean as DNC Chair was a huge bone tossed at us...but he's not there much longer before Terry MacAuliff replaces him...to get on the BIG CORPORATE BAND WAGON...and it's more of the same old crap. Sweep the Bushie Crimes under the rug...more FREE TRADE/FAST TRACK an the rest of the shit.

20. Yes, that's the point. Supporting him supports his agenda
 End wars of choice
 Divert the money saved to inventing the next energy economy
 Universal health care—everybody in, nobody out, no exceptions
 Support fair trade and end outsourcing of American jobs
 Require paper ballots and election auditing
 Stop torture and restore our Bill of Rights

Bottom line, do you want these things or not? If you do, support Kucinich as long as possible.

I could tolerate a third choice, though.

(unless pigs fly, and Gore decides to support Kucinich)

17. I trust Gore to be President because he won the election...
... but that doesn't mean that I'm going to automatically agree with all of his decisions. This is a democracy, after all, not a rule by decree.

As you may recall, Gore endorsed Dean in 2004. That was the right decision. But look where it got them both.

I supported Kucinich financially last time around. For some reason I'm having a hard time doing this again...until something fundamentally changes about the viability of his campaign. But he's the only polititian who I agree with and trust.

35. if you are serious about Kucinich, you have to VOLUNTEER NOW
AND DONATE.

He is going to need all the help he can get. He is facing long odds of winning and just saying you are going to vote for him is NOT ENOUGH.

You have to work your ass off for the next year and lots of people do if he stands even half a chance.

If you are not willing to do the work, what good is your one vote going to be???
