White Supremacist David Lane dies in prison.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The getaway driver for the white supremacist group who murdered liberal Denver radio talk show host Alan Berg died in a Terre Haute, Indiana federal prison Tuesday.

David Lane, a member of The Order, was 68.

A spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed Lane's death, which happened shortly after 9 a.m. The exact cause of death is not yet known and is pending the results of an autopsy.

Lane was serving a 190-year consecutive life sentence for racketeering, conspiracy and violating the civil rights of Berg, who was shot and killed on June 18, 1984, in the driveway of his home in Denver....

4. I was visiting my parents

who lived in SW MO at the time. Lane and another were captured at a rest area about 2 miles away. Being from Ft. Collins at the time, and admiring Berg, I was very, VERY glad they were caught. My Dad said there was a "hate" camp across that river and had been for some time.
