These types of messages were being sent by British radio into France throughout the war. They were messages to the French underground regarding the coordination of activities.

Jean à de longue moustache. Je répète: Jean à de longue moustache. Blesse mon cœur d’une langueur monotone. Je répète: Blesse mon cœur d’une langueur monotone.

The latter line is from a poem from the French poet Paul Verlaine:

Les sanglots longs des violons de l'automne
Blessent mon cœur D'une langueur monotone.
