Obama fever!
Democrat Barack Obama is the top 2008 presidential contender in the United States, according to a poll by Zogby International. At least 46 per cent of respondents would support the Illinois senator in head-to-head contests against four prospective Republican nominees.

1. He Lost Me Today
floating a fraud of a health care plan. Another unproven overpriced patched-together mishmash instead of proven and efficient single payer.

Jeebus I hope Gore gets in - he's my only hope now.

3. Oh, come on now
Universal health care is the goal. Everything else is just details.

Tell me, does Gore support single a single-payer plan? Given that he is not in the race, it's hard for me to support him just yet. But I like Gore. He is the one candidate who might woo me away from Obama. But that would only happen if I thought Gore would be more electable -- and I am not sure about that.

4. I agree
As I said to MannyG (above), I really like Gore as well. And I'll give Al a long look if he gets into the race. But Obama is my favorite so far.

He has done health care before. With repuke control. And it's done well. he is using some of it.
