a documentary film entitled "Can Mr. Smith Get To Washington Anymore". It won an award at the Milwaukee Int'l Film Festival.

It's about a kid who decides to run for Congress against great odds, and it follows him around as he campaigns. A real grassroots campaign.

I watched the trailer (at the movie's site) and I couldn't help but think of Joe. Even though the trailer's really short, I get the gist of it and it gives me hope that Joe can defeat the odds, too.

1. Inspiration yes, but mentioning the Carnahans made me wonder?

Although they did show that goofy repub on there.

Lately my enthusiasm is gutter type. There are the chosen ones and then the, "also rans". Our govt. is so bought and paid for and surely at my age I should have known it long ago. Sigh.....
