Debt retirement reception
Did everyone else get the email for Joe's debt retirement reception? I wish I had the $250 to go. I live close enough that I could I take a personal day and get to DC. If I had that much money, I would've given it to him December. Anyone else trying to go? I would love to be able to meet him in person. Oh well, maybe some other time.

2. I got it on Wednesday
February 13, 2008

Dear Friend,

I want to thank you for your support over the past year as I campaigned for the Democratic presidential nomination. Your many sacrifices on my behalf meant the world to the Biden family and me. Without your help, I would not have had the opportunity to impact the debate Democrats are now having as to the best way to get our country back on track and to undo the damage of the last seven years.

Though my bid for the Democratic presidential nomination has ended, my involvement in the debate over the direction of our country has not. I am blessed to be back in the United States Senate. This year I will campaign for re-election in Delaware as well as work as hard as possible on behalf of the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee. In order to do this, I must first retire the debt that remains from my presidential campaign. You have been more than generous in the past but I ask that you help me retire the debt by contributing to Biden for President.

Please join me for a fundraising reception on Thursday, March 6th, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The reception will be held at Johnny’s Halfshell located at 400 North Capitol Street, NW, in Washington, DC. Details are below. To RSVP for the March 6th reception, please contact Danny O’Brien at 302-574-2008 or danny@joebiden.com.

Again, thank you for making it possible for me to have campaigned for the Democratic presidential nomination. I look forward to seeing you on March 6th.

Sincerely,

Joseph R. Biden, Jr.
United States Senate

3. Ditto, JoeIs,
but if I had the $, I'd go.

I don't, so I won't, unless I can sell my 1997 Nissan Altima!

5. well, hey, if we could all go, I'd be happy to drive in my '99 Honda Accord! nt

You know, when Jill Biden was in that car accident, I was so glad she wasn't hurt, but then I had to laugh. Yeah, she was in a BMW, but it was a 2001 :) JillIsOneOfUs too.

6. I don't think I got it, but I haven't been checking my e-mail closely this
week.

If I had the bucks.....but I don't.

I hope there's a HUGE turnout!

As soon as I get a job, I'll begin contributing to his re-election campaign (or this, if it's still needed).

Thanks for letting us know about this!

I contributed my maximum allowed for the Presidential campaign, but I think my husband can still contribute 100.00 or so, so we will do that. I plan on contributing to his senatorial re-election run.
