Interesting -- this is from a thread I started because I heard Randi saying the |
|
talk "out there" is that Gore will be called on to speak with O & H and encouraging one of them to step down gracefully.
sniffa said there was something on it last night (on KO, maybe?) Apparently, Gore, Biden, Dodd, Richardson, and (Pelosi) are going to serve as the "Gang of 5" and Gore has been meeting with the former contenders. They suggested this is to plan for the time to step in as one voice, and why they haven't endorsed anyone.
This might explain why Richardson didn't endorse Clinton after the Super Bowl Sunday get together as was suggested -- because he (Richardson) is part of the "intervening committee"?
Hmmmm...

on Countdown last night. Hopefully they will be able to bring about a constructive solution before the party completely splinters apart.

I heard something about a gang of 5 on the radio today.....I didn't pay any attention to what was being said. I wish I had now. I find these developments fascinating. I don't have a clue what is going to happen next. I know one thing....I'm afraid this situation is going to have to be diffused at some point. If I am to guess..........Hillary has a less than expected showing in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Texas ...this may be where a group steps in and persuades her to pull out.....for the good of the party.
But...on the other hand...she does better than expected.....
Do you guys remember Peyton Place???.....damn the tension just keeps building!!!!

I also think the party's splintered maybe beyond repair, as is the country; seems these guys (w/o pelosi? richardson) could figure something out.
I thought Joe wasn't endorsing due to just plain smarts, tho 'superdelegates' have reasons to hold back.

The board was long ago set; the pieces for some time moving - yet still we might ask, "what is the game?"
