I've been spending entirely too much time 'up front.'

3. I can't tell you how mentally AND emotionally refreshing it was

to just walk away.

I cancelled my internet access to save money (in a pathetic move to forestall actually going out to look for a job :7) and only glanced at DU once a day when I went to a local coffee shop with WiFi. I had to check out lots of other sources before my battery would give out, so I had very limited time to spend on DU.

I swear, it really helped me put things into perspective and I would highly recommend a similar moratorium to anyone.

I'm not sure I could have done it if I'd have been able to log on 24/7, which shows how much it had gotten into my blood. Can't be healthy.

I met a fellow coffee-shop WiFier whose mom had lost her job because of her political fervor and I could totally see how that could happen. When you're as into it as we on DU are, it's inconceivable that there are so many people out there who are so clueless -- or worse -- support McCain!

This guy I met is a Pastor at a Church and doesn't know who his mom is supporting (he was for Ron Paul, but hasn't been paying attention lately since RP slipped off the radar), but she ISN'T supporting those in power now. I'm not sure if Clayton, North Carolina is the place to Bush bash...

Anyway guys -- missed you all and more than ever, it seems even more apparent that there's one guy who's perfect for POTUS.

4. So glad to hear it!

Moved into townhouse, still concentrating on the b.s. and not working on stuff here, and weather not 'perfect' for me to 'garden.' NOW, waiting to catch NCAA, WVU v. Arizona, on line; no tv here yet.

SO hope I can get into b'ball instead of b.s.
