Keeping the windows closed as the air quality has gone down again, but the worst areas are north of Sacramento. Meanwhile, temperatures are triple digits. We have a few more days of this kind of heat.

Global warming is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on human kind?
Actually we do get two or three major heat waves in Sacramento. It doesn't help that we have all these fires adding smoke to the already stifling air!

11. we don't have that warming either. |
|
Seems like we get more frequent flooding....in 93 we get a once in 500 year flood....then this year they call it a once in 2,500 year flood. Some one tried to blame that on global warming too.....but we know the truth don't we?? Nope....no global warming here....I heard it on the radio and stuff....

Keep us posted - okay?
We have broken all sorts of records here too, but in Phoenix we are used to 100*+ weather.
Global warming? Climate change? Nah!

I'm not a native of California, but I think I read that it is the worst fire season on record.

I can't even imagine what you are going through.....that has to be scary.
The only thing we have to close the window around here for.....is if the wind is strong and the wrong direction.....we can smell one of those cereal companies making Captain Crunch. Once you smell that you don't really feel like trying the cereal anymore.:puke:

12. There are no fires close to me |
|
but we do get the smoke from the fires northeast of us. Right now the air quality sucks and we're in the midst of a heatwave. Its going to be a long summer!

9. I have a friend who's been living in Calif for a while |
|
about to return to NY.
One of the last things she had planned to do was hike in northern Calif - which she ended up doing as the fires got bad up there. She went home to southern Calif and can see fire from her apartment.
I think she's looking forward to upstate NY again!
