Hagel going to Iraq with Obama!
Briliant.

And it's almost as good as Joe going, since he and Hagel are so sympatico regarding the situation, solutions, etc. Biden will be kept apprised, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's doing some stuff behind the scenes, too.

3. I'm really happy about that. Hagel is perfect politically because of the R next to his name.
I'm sure Hagel and Biden and Kerry all have the same contacts worldwide.

5. I've been reading how McCain and Hagel were tight.
This is really going to be a kick in the balls to McCain. As one person put it on the thread I linked to -- McCain takes Lieberman to Iraq, Obama takes Hagel. The comparison is almost embarrassing.

7. I heard that there's a petition somewhere to kick Lieberman off of all Dem Committees.
When my husband tells me how much he likes Lieberman, you can be sure Lieberman should have an R next to his name.

Hagel seems more like an I than Lieberman.

8. Ha!
Funny comment about your husband and the (R)!

Yeah, I just don't see the I at all.

I've heard that too, about Lieberman. That would be SO COOL. I hope we do it before he switches on his own (which wouldn't surprise me at all).

9. Oh yuck!
Lieberman makes my skin crawl. He has such a whiny voice! When he was running for president in 04 I could only listen to him for a few minutes before I went nuts.

He really needs to be kicked off all Democratic committees. He clearly is not a Democrat anymore. Personally, I'd love to see him just retire for good.

6. That's one of the things I respect most about Joe.
When he likes and respects someone, it's written all over his face and he never fails to verbally praise them.

Such a good guy.

And yes - to have him look at me that way....whew :P

13. What on earth are you guys implying about
Joe and Chuck ? But I agree, it's a funny picture, Hagel looks like the prize pupil under the watchful and proud eyes of his mentors.
