Just heard a clip of Obama saying "We don't know what would have happened in Iraq if we had put forth what I had proposed about partitian, et..."
What the hell did Obama propose? is he taking credit for signing on to the Biden/Boxer/Brownback amendment, or did he actually do something?

I was listening to the audio of Race To The White House and they played this clip. We'll have to wait until it gets posted on MSNBC.com or YouTube.
Nobody commented on it -- they were discussing Obama's response to a question regarding The Surge - but I noticed!
EDIT TO ADD -- not sure if he actually used that word. It is definitely not a direct quote, just the gist of what he said. We'll see.

|
but I'm not remembering the details or how much support it got. How's that for vague?!

5. I don't know if I heard him say partition. |

Obama didn't even show up to vote that day they voted on Joe's plan.
That was the day he had a tummyache.

7. I remember - I think you and I were really letting them have it on that day. |
|
Especially when Obama showed up that evening at the debate.
Ugh - I hate thinking about these things. There was a reason why Obama wasn't my first, second or even third pick and I'm really trying to get past that now.

I remember the two of us really getting pissed. As I recall everyone showed up that day except McCain and Obama. Then Hillary ticked us off because she voted for that Iranian Revolutionary Guard bill, which was a total shock.
Ah, the memories.............

The candidates were chosen according to ratings appeal, well at least with the Democrats. The republicans were all pretty boring from the very beginning, except Rudy who came with his fair share of scandals.

The photos of him at the Holocaust Memorial brought tears to my eyes.
Guess I am seeing a side of him that I didn't know existed.

19. He carries himself with grace and dignity |
|
What a contrast seeing him sitting with world leaders in comparison to Bush.
As you said in another post, I still don't see him as an agent for change, but a very skilled politician.

16. Yesterday someone posted several photos of him in the Middle East |
|
& it was so refreshing to see a man who knows how to conduct himself in public -- no embarrassing photos of him looking like a complete nincompoop or a mean spirited little shit.
I'm still not holding my breath for any real change. I hope I'm wrong.

17. I've always looked at Obama as a savvy politician, not the change agent he claimed to be, so |
|
my expectations may be different.
But I do think he is intelligent, thoughtful and will be able to bring honor back to the WH as our standing in the world.
