Biden and the Dismal Patraeus Report

I watched the Senate hearings on C-SPAN the last few days. They were riveting. Both Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan C. Crocker could not give us any assurance that there will be an end to the war in the near future. They stressed that there is a long-term need for the U.S. to remain in Iraq. It was clear that Sen. Joe Biden could get us out of Iraq sooner and safer than Bush, and we should carefully consider him for the Democratic ticket for the presidency. Why has Biden not gained more traction?

1. Me too!!!!

Seriously, I am from Chicago. We moved to CA six years ago. I was raised in the southern suburbs, but lived in the city years ago - later lived in the western suburbs.

Ms. Berns asked the same question we have all asked - why has Biden not gained more traction? You know, of all the candidates, Biden is probably the one that the republican would least want to run against. I don't know what part they would have in any of this, but they could contribute some how.

But my brothers still live there.

4. The weather - couldn't take the weather anymore!

Now I live in Sacramento and the weather is predominately sunny and mild.

I miss the food in Chicago (the only thing). Best food of anywhere I've ever been and I just took it for granted all those years.

I hate hot dogs - but for some reason if Chicago they are like eating gourmet food.

Good Italian food is a rarity here and you get tired of Chinese and Mexican food after a while.

5. There are a few people

who jump in and bring up the bankruptcy bill or they just put out some stupid one-liner without backing it up. I've been to other sites and some of them get pretty brutal. At first it bothered me, but now I ignore them. I don't want to be part of that kind of politics.
