CIA foisted Bolivia firm: Morales

BOLIVIA: President Evo Morales’ accusation on the infiltration of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in the state-run Bolivian Tax Oil Fields (YPFB) has had extensive coverage in the country’s mass media Saturday.

“The CIA has lamentably been in YPFB and some of our partners were caught by that foreign organization,” the statesman stated Friday in an act in the Cochabamba locality of Chapare.

Los Tiempos, Opinion and El Deber newspapers reflect declarations by the head of State, who promised to reveal details of the destabilizing action. According to Morales, this concerns a new attempt to overthrow the Movement towards Socialism.

The state oil company is being shaken since late January by a scandal sparked off by several entities, among them the Attorney’s office, the Senate and the Executive Power.
