U.S. authorities say they have seized more than $11 million worth of cocaine from a high-end yacht based in the British Virgin Islands.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports finding the illicit cargo on board the "Black Sea" in the Puerto Rican coastal town of Fajardo.
The 248 bricks of cocaine weighed 633 pounds.
The 54-foot Viking vessel is valued at $1.6 million and is registered to MDS Caribbean Seas Ltd. in the British Virgin Islands. No company with that name is listed in the territory's phone book.
Customs spokesman Ivan Rodriguez said Friday that authorities have arrested four U.S. citizens from Puerto Rico as part of its investigation.
