1. Honduran Visiting DC, Gives Interview to CNN, Cops beat up family in Honduras

Jari, one of the anti-coup resistance leaders who
are in Washington, DC right now gave an interview
to CNN en Espanol yesterday. After the interview
was aired in Honduras, a police squad in Honduras
stormed his mother's house and machine-gunned the
entrance. Once they were inside they beat his mom
and sisters and arrested his brother after stating "Te llego tu hora".

Jari already talked to CNN en Espanol and AFP to
get the story out, but we need as much coverage
as we can today to protect him and his family.

We'll have a Press Conference at the NPC at 12:30
and urge journalist to attend so they can get the story first hand from Jari.

We are preparing more information that we will circulate shortly.

3. Not of the 6PM forum discussion, but maybe of the press conf. . . .
at 12:30 pm today. Check the National Press Clubs website. With the Sotomayor confirmation hearings not much is making it to C-Span either.
