CHANNEL 36 Tegu is on the scene at a police holding area, in Tegu, I think
Edited on Thu Jul-30-09 02:28 PM by magbana
many people look like they have been beat up. Several groups of protesters entering with hands up under police escort.

You may want to check it out given the lack of Telesur TV there.

Now showing military/police chasing and tear gassing protesters. These soldiers/cops are itching for a fight.

1. Thanks for the link

watching, tear gas fired, one person carried off, appeared to be injured.... rocks in the roadway, insults flying back and fourth ...

(can you get a full-screen version? I only see the small screen.)

2. Looks like another Isis Obed, but older, shot in the back of the head. Bleeding out on the street.
Thank goodness for Channel 36 - otherwise, no real info would be getting out.

3. Looks like the man was dead

that head wound and the amount of blood was a shocker. He was not moving, so I fear the worst for him.

I hope that I am wrong.

4. teacher clinging to life

38 years old. In critical condition.

Witnessses say three police infiltrators opened fire at the demonstrators.

Human rights spokesman said police fired to kill, not into the air.

Lots of injured arriving at hospital.

5. Ch. 36 signal has been off the air for about an hour

suspect it was censored.

Radio Globo signal just went dead too, after a caller announced that Hugo Llorens is meeting with Zelaya in Managua this afternoon.

Will look for confirmation on Llorens.

13. Yes, I'm laughing at the reporter, but I could cry concerning the
people he is interviewing. You can see that they have had rough lives and many problems to deal with. AND, these are the kind of people that Micheletti would gladly eat for breakfast. I wish them peace and safety.

14. It's so wrong for decent, good people like those speaking with the reporter to have to live in fear
of worthless, useless, parasitic scheming dirtbags like the coup plotters and their hijacked military protectors.

The people of Honduras deserve to have this relentless struggle to control them put to rest, permanently.

15. Is anyone still watching Channel 36? If not, and you read this,
you might want to turn it on. While the repression is ratcheting up, the condemnation by international organizations is mounting.

16. Last night a woman called Radio Globo saying Channel 36 was with the resistance
as much as possible. This was after they were said to be collaborating with the golpistas. Looks like they came through in this situation.
