US military keeps wary eye on Cuba

"At US Southern Command, as always, we are monitoring events in Cuba closely, in close coordination with our interagency partners," said Admiral James Stavridis of the command center, which monitors military developments in Latin America.
US military officials said they remain vigilant for a change of conditions in Cuba that might warrant the deployment of US troops in the region.
