Jorge Castañeda at Newsweek say Zelaya was overthrown for seeking a third term. Seriously:
The Honduras Trap
Obama is alone in the middle.
By Jorge Castañeda | NEWSWEEK
Published Dec 5, 2009
From the magazine issue dated Dec 14, 2009
... The Obama administration rightly condemned the June 28 coup d'état that overthrew President Manuel Zelaya—but also refrained from any judgment, let alone criticism, of Zelaya's bid for an unconstitutional third term, which led to his ouster ... http://www.newsweek.com/id/225810

It's difficult to imagine how Castañeda gets anywhere near that, since Zelaya was still in his first term and under the current constitution anyone who supported a second term for Zelaya would have been stripped of citizenship -- but in the hallucinatory world of America's corporate media such details are easily ignored

3. He's an absolute ass. He's been causing trouble for leftists for far too long.
He seems to have aspirations of being a one man wrecking ball aimed at Latin America's progressives.

You may remember his close bond with Miami's "exile" community when he was Mexico's Foreign Minister, and spread lies about both Cuba, and Venezuela, and created a diplomatic rupture in Mexican and Cuban relations which took great delicacy in restoring. What a colossal ass.

This would have been a DELIBERATE lie, the old "third term" baloney.

Jorge Castaneda visits Lou Dobbs.

5. Isn't that one a winner? He has a lot of time on his hands these days,
like Lou Dobbs, since Castaneda gave up his twin careers in physics, and male fashion modeling.

The guy probably sees himself as more presentable than Norway's Prime Minister, Jens Stoltenberg, but he actually looks as if he's coming off a rough night in cheap bars and passing out on the sidewalk.

Stoltenberg. Castaneda?
