Bolivian lawmakers: We work, we get paid. No work, no pay.
What an idea. Evo strikes again.

Starting in January, senators and deputies will be paid ONLY for the days they work to benefit the Bolivian pueblo.

Senators and deputies who were voted into office last Sunday, in their first meeting today, unanimously agreed to the measure and they will be considered the same as "day laborers."

Parliamentarians who do not show up for work, as happened often in the past, simply won't be paid.

(Just think if this was proposed to the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives  )

1. Fantastic! Now THAT'S democratic! This will separate the men from the boys wheat from the chaff, etc.
They shouldn't do a lot of grumbling about this, if, for no other reason, Evo Morales had the salary he would have received as Bolivia's President chopped at least in half, if not more when he took his place as the head of state. He also made requests of his cabinet members to accept less profitable salaries, as well. He also had a lot of perks removed for everyone.

Time the legislators lived more economically, as well. This is going to be perfectly acceptable, no doubt whatsonever, with the indigenous legislators. It will be humorous waiting to see what the others do about it. Hope the door won't hit them on the way out.

Thank you, rabs.
