?
less than four weeks after the elections in Bolivia.
Bolivian media reporting he sneaked across the long, unguarded Andean border with Peru on Dec. 14 and flew to the United States (Miami?) the next day from the Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima.
Former governor (2006-2008) of Pando province, Manfred Reyes Villa is facing 20 charges of public corruption in Bolivia. He was crushed by Evo in the elections that featured Villa Reyes' vice president mate voting while languishing in a La Paz prison on human rights violation charges.
This is likely to complicate even more Bolivia's relations with both Peru and the Hillary/Obama administration.
With Washington because it refuses to extradite former President Sanchez de Losada for trial in the massacre of campesinos seven years ago. Plus the fact that La Paz-Washington relations have been at a historic low point since Evo was elected the first time.
With Peru because Alan Garcia is protecting three of Sanchez de Lozada's former ministers and permitting Reyes Villa to board a flight to the United States.
Evo is reported highly pissed with his police commanders because of Villa's Reyes slipping out of the country. Two generals already have been sacked, one in charge of Bolivia's connection to INTERPOL and the other a general in charge of intelligence.

It will be interesting to see the Hillary/Obama reaction to the extradition request that is sure to come.
But then again, what is one more South American fascist thug living the good life here in the United States
