Zelaya living a life of extreme luxury in DR
Edited on Thu Jan-28-10 08:03 PM by lunamagica
He and his family were set up in a luxury resort which costs between $2,000. and $5,000. per DAY.

And who is paying for this? The gov of the Dominican Republic is, that is to say, the people of a third world nation which is facing a crisis due to it's proximity to Haiti.

How populist of him, eh?

No, I don't have a link yet. I just saw footage of him and the resort. Gorgeous, gorgeous place....the kind where the rich go to get away from the misery of the world.

3. After 129 days in a closet-size room in the Brazilian Embassy

and being bombarded with ear-shattering noise, food sniffed by dogs, the ocean waves will sound nice and the food is going to be good .....

Yep, Z, Xiomara and Picchu deserve it.

Btw, the OP's concern about who was going to pay sounds suspiciously like the following in the golpista newspaper El Heraldo of Teguz.

4. Maybe the OP should be more concerned about the Gorilettis
emptying the treasury, including ALBA funds. :)

5. The Honduran people say goodbye to their president. Eat that, golpista apologists.

9. I just 'unrecommended' it for you. First time I've ever done that--
and probably the last. I don't generally approve of censoring anything. But this post is so malicious that I made an exception.

10. Thank you. You'd think the coup supporters would be satisfied now they've succeeded.
Can't believe the one who took the time to smear Zelaya here only a moment before the coup came back with a similar name to repeat it even though they've overthrown him, and managed to slaughter and torture good Honduran people in the process.

This is truly a malicious task, following up attacks on a democratically elected President with even more pure gibberish after his crude, vicious overthrow. They have taken Latin America back to an odious way of interfering with democracy to benefit the greedy, twisted few.

And they're still treating political dissenters like criminals to this very day. In a democracy, that's an unsupportable crime.

12. If the babbling I've heard from lunatic "Honduran" rightwingers is true,
Zelaya isn't dependant on hand-outs from an illegal government, anyway. He seemed to be doing just fine before the PEOPLE of Honduras elected him as their president.

However, this may move the scum of your coup government to decide to go ahead and assassinate the next actually legally, democratically elected President they don't like, so they may spare the "people" any money needed to maintain him after they invade his home, and exile him from the place where his family has lived for hundreds of years.

Does your country support other Presidents after their Presidential term, as it's done in the United States? If so, doesn't seem any different.

Our piece of filth, murderous, lying Vice President is spending his US taxpayers' maintainance money in a luxurious resort in Montana or Wyoming.

All the US retired Presidents get Secret Service Protection, too.

Should we bitch about that?

You leftist-haters should spend some time trying to come to terms with the fact your dirty tricks, schemes, brutal behavior toward your betters, your criminal acts toward Honduran citizens over the years will not last forever. The tide will most surely turn and you won't be remembered fondly by ANYONE.
