Honduran president says he can not provide Zelaya with immunity
Porfirio Lobo invites Chávez and Correa to Honduras

Honduran President Porfirio Lobo said in Madrid that the presidents of Venezuela and Ecuador speak without knowing the reality of the Central American country. Lobo insisted that his country is willing to do whatever necessary to return to the OAS

Honduran President Porfirio Lobo invited on Wednesday his Ecuadoran and Venezuelan counterparts to visit Honduras, claiming that they speak without knowing what is happening in his country.

Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa "can come and check (the situation). Maybe he does not know the reality, as appears from his statements. And Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez can come too," Lobo said in Spain. "We guarantee that they will receive the treatment they deserve as presidents," he said.

Lobo said that Honduras is prepared to take all steps to return to the Organization of the American States (OAS). He added that some countries have asked him to grant immunity to ousted President Manuel Zelaya, but said that he cannot do that.

Opposition newspaper

They should be cautioned not to break the speed limit rushing to his side, shouldn't they? Nice try, Lobo, you idiot.

2. Micheletti & his gang and their death squads are the ones who need immunity.
Who did Zelaya torture? Who did Zelaya kill? All Zelaya did was raise the minimum wage, lower bus ticket prices for poor workers, provide school lunches for poor children and side with labor unions and the poor on the need for fundamental political reform. Micheletti and his gangsters shut down the country, suspended all civil rights and then the shootings and disappearances of anti-coup activists began, with reports of torture, rape and other terror tactics. Hundreds have been killed, thousands assaulted and threatened. Typical U.S. "friend and ally" in Latin America. And this horror is on-going under Lobo, whom Hillary Clinton faked an election for--an election held under "martial law" paid for with our tax dollars, even as leftists' bodies were turning up with bullets in their heads.

And, frankly, before Hillary Clinton is through carrying out the Bushwhack agenda in Latin America and elsewhere, she, too, will need immunity. She has re-empowered murderous forces in several countries and is helping factions in the Mexican military carry out their murderous "war on drugs" campaign, favoring the big Sinaloa cartel, with billions in U.S. funding . And ain't it interesting that the Associated Pukes and the National Public Rumormongers--who just reported this corruption in the Mexican military--suddenly started doing their job on Obama's watch. No amount of murder or mayhem instigated by the Bush Junta prompted them to do so.

Our fate, as U.S. citizens who have no control whatsoever over where our tax dollars go, is to be caught between a rock and a hard place. We are supposed to revile Obama-- and feed their false narrative of the re-rise of the Dracula right--for two horrible wars, a Great Depression, and murder and mayhem in our client states and on our very border, all instigated by the Bush Junta, and then a president with a Diebold-shaved mandate for reform is put in place, to take the blame. Whatever compromises Obama made to reach the White House--and I am convinced that immunity for Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld, and gang, was among them--he is currently our only hope that the Big Nazi Boot will not be brought down upon us with a stolen election in 2012. His administration is so like the Weirmar Republic that it is extremely scary, indeed. There are DIFFERENCES--big differences--between Germany early 1930s and us, now--but still. Fascist themes, scenarios and methods don't change all that much. Our rulers are corpo-fascists, a somewhat different breed of fascist than the Nazis--more elusive, harder to identify, and subtler in some ways (to date desiring to maintain a facade of democracy here--it's a rather big and diverse country to bring the Boot down upon)--but their penchant for war, mass death, torture, propaganda and crushing other peoples' efforts at self-determination may all come home here along with the massive looting. (That's another difference with the Nazis--our corpo-fascists are first of all THIEVES).

Anyway, this bind we are in about Obama is enough to drive us nuts and is probably designed to do so. His administration supports the murderers in Honduras and Colombia, has approved a U.S. military occupation of Colombia, opposes real democracies in Latin American such as Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador, is murdering civilians in Afghanistan, is wrecking havoc in Iraq with the continued U.S. military occupation, is laying the groundwork for Bush Junta II to attack Iran (just as Bill Clinton laid the ground work for Bush Junta I to attack Iraq), supports continued massive war spending of every kind, continued the Bush Junta policy of the deregulation of oil giants, resulting in this massive oil spill, and couldn't even achieve a public option on health care. It has furthermore been DEADLY SILENT about the 'TRADE SECRET' voting machines, 80% of which are now owned and controlled by ONE far rightwing-connected corporation (ES&S, which just bought out Diebold), rendering all U.S. elections unverifiable and invalid. This is not "change we can believe in." What a lie! And we're supposed to FEEL that lie and its excruciating irony, and not vote for Obama and not vote for other Democrats.

Well, friends, stay SANE. Don't let it all get to you. We have a great deal of work to do, to restore the democracy that others tried to pass to us, to pass it on to future generations. And we have this great crisis of our democracy concurrent with a planetary ecological crisis that is extremely daunting all by itself. Stay steady. Avoid the corpo-fascist press when you can. They are poisonous. Choose practical actions and strategies, and join with others to get them done. And understand that Obama is just a human being, a man, and cannot save us from these problems. No such "savior leader"--an FDR, say--will be permitted in the White House these days. We have to save ourselves--our democracy, our future. And do know that we, the great progressive majority of the U.S., have been specially targeted for demoralization and disempowerment. That should tell you that our potential power as a people, to do good in the world, is very great.

3. Odd.
Micheletti's newly minted status as Congress-person for life provides him with imunity.

Upside down.
