MACHETERA IS ON A ROLE. She has translated 3 articles about Bolivia and has given DU'ers a tip of the hat for staying on the case of Ron Larsen (THAT MEANS YOU, JUDI!)the white separatist landholder in Bolivia

1. Bolivia in Flames is a MUST Read
Now that I have had a chance to read all three articles in detail, I highly recommend that you read the first one first. Bolivia in Flames is an excellent article that provides context and political history for understanding not only the reasons for the "autonomous" movement, but its frightening implications -- a bloody war and, depending on the circumstances,an autonomous region could attach itself to another country (like Colombia)and the US could use it as a foothold or military base.

2. Thanks for posting these 3 Machatera items. That Machatera is all over the place!
Will be reading all this information when I get the time I need tonight. We get so precious little information on the subjects which are the most important right now. Of course, how could these scums operate clandestinely, behind our backs, without our approval, doing things NO ONE should EVER consider doing, if the world knew about it?

3. The Bolivia in Flames article is essential reading, magbana. Anyone would be so well advised
to take the time to go through it.

This just isn't going to be revealed in our own corporate media, and it probably will never be known for years, unless people avail themselves of research opportunities and find out for themselves.

May 4th looks even more serious now than I saw it before the article. I had no idea just how much is at stake.

The Santa Cruz-Colombia Axis is something Peace Patriot has discussed in her writings for a while, having seen this angle rising quite a while back.

This is really tense. It's all so much better knowing Lugo won in Paraguay, too, isn't it? Thank god for that.

Looks like we're going to find out how committed Bush is to destroying the people of Bolivia's government by May 5th.
I hope wiser heads will be able to talk some sense into him, but I'm sure he deliberately left wiser heads OUT of his administration (they're too stuck up, and they're no fun!), so someone would have to tie a note around a rock and toss it over the fence of the White House, and hope one of the guards would give it to Bush, hoping he'd try to read it.

Ronald Larsen and his sonny boy, little Mr. Bolivia, at home in one of the ranches he acquired one year after going to Bolivia as a "Peace Corps volunteer:"

Here's the laddie, flushed with success at the "Mr. Bolivia" contest. I can't imagine how the REAL Bolivians feel having this ass#### sashaying around imagining himself the foolish "Mr. Bolivia". How proud they must be that he and Daddy are going to try to overthrow the people's hard-won, dearly paid-for-in-blood, OWN government, along with Branko Marinkovic, in the lower photo.
