Cuban specialists recently began a study of physically disabled people in Quayaquil, the most populated city of Ecuador, as part of the Manueal Espejo Mission.
This is the first biopsychosocial, clinical and genetic study of disabled people ever held in this city that has nearly two million inhabitants and a floating population of more than 3 million.
The research is expected to be completed in 20 days, according to a Prensa Latina report.
PL said the Cuban specialists were warmly welcomed by the Ecuadorian people and local specialists who are going to assist them in their mission.
This broad study seeks to identify the physically impaired people and provide them medical assistance. The results of the work will be handed over to the government so that it can look for solutions to such health problems.
The study has been completed in 22 Ecuadorian provinces where a total of 200,000 people suffering any kind of disability have been detected.

1. Big step forward for Ecuador. They are joining Central American, South American, |
|
and Carribean states in beneficial arrangements with the world-famous Cuban medical community. Good news, it will get good results.
Recommending.
