Army major arrested for 11 'false positive' murders
Army major arrested for 11 'false positive' murders
Thursday, 07 October 2010 12:26 Christina Filipovic

Army Major Orlando Arturo Cespedes Escalona, deputy commander of the Joint Task Force in Sucre, was arrested for his alleged part in the murder of eleven young people, who were falsely reported by the military as rebels killed in combat.

The scandal in which the army was revealed to have murdered many civilians and disguised them as rebels in order to inflate kill counts is known as "false positives," and up to 3,000 such killings have taken place in Colombia, according to some estimates.

The victims, who were between 16 and 28 years old, were recruited in July 2007 to do agricultural work in Cordoba and Sucre, but were reported as killed in fighting with the military a few months later, reported Radio Santa Fe.

With the exception of one child under 16, the remains of the victims have been identified and delivered to their families.

The authorities have established that civilians contacted the victims and offered up to COP750,000 a month for agricultural work, and then summoned them to different locations where they were executed.

1. The U.S. "best friend" in Latin America. "...up to 3,000 such killings...in Colombia."
And this horror is just "the tip of the iceberg" of what has been done in Colombia with U.S. taxpayer money and U.S. government/Pentagon collusion. Thousands of trade unionists, human rights workers, teachers, community activists, journalists, political leftists, peasant farmers and others have been murdered by the Colombian military and its death squads.

While it may help the victims' families and the cause of peace and lawfulness in Colombia, that at least one "deputy commander" has been caught--if he is guilty and is properly tried--this could also well be a coverup of those above him, giving the orders--including the president of the country during these outrages, Bush Jr pal, Alvaro Uribe, who is now cavorting with the Jesuits (academic sinecure at Georgetown U.) and got an Obama/Clinton appointment to a prestigious international legal committee. He is obviously a "made man"--under CIA protection--while an army major takes the wrap. And that is not to mention that the current president of Colombia, Manuel Santos, was Uribe's Defense Minister during part of that time, and that, throughout these and other horrors, the Colombian military was getting $7 BILLION in U.S. military aid (and still is).

2. Excellent imagery, and accurate. It is, has been a criminal enterprise,
and one which citizens are FORCED to support materially.

That's some kind of racket they've got operating there, attracting master criminals from all over the world, like the arch criminal Yair Klein, from Israel, and his ilk.

The graves, marked, unmarked, and massive, of their victims are growing, few truths are being revealed, even as a bloodthirsty, energetic, ambitious new leader ascends the throne. Apparently he can reign in hell two terms, and join his "made man" on the world stage as an elder goblin, himself. There's always room there at the "top," with people like Henry Kissinger, and the Bushes.
