Hillary's "special interest" in Dilma

Wikileads cable published yesterday by El Pais of Madrid.

Someone in U.S. Embassy reported; "She like movies, classical music. She lost weight recently, according to reports, after adopting the same diet as President Lula."

hillary called the Brazilian political "Byzantine" and recommended that future cables include:

-- the operating style of Brazilian leaders

-- their behavior, motivations, strong and weak points, relations with their superiors, sensibilities, vision of the world, hobbies and knowledge of foreign languages.

-- hillary did praise Dilma as a "competent candidate" for her "patience to listen and to reply," but also alerted for Dilma's "insistence as a negotiator, her persuasion, and for demanding details.

The cable says Dilma was of "special interest" to State since 2005, in addition to other Brazilian politicians.

1. Nothing wrong with getting to know every detail
I bet the Russians know if she puts her socks on left first. All big countries have very sophisticated info gathering systems for other nations' movers and shakers. Corporations do too, I bet there are private services in Brazil gathering and selling information on the new Brazilian leadership.

3. she is a wannabe Evita
and generally has no interest outside being seen as a powerful yet elegant and sexy woman. She's jealous of everyone who is.

4. I agree Hillary is creepy
But any Sec of State would have profiles on high profile politicians in all countries. And this is something every country does - some do it better. As I mentioned earlier, there are private outfits in almost every country providing the same service to corporations. I assume smaller countries also use their services to save money.
