Chavez government sells cheap fish products to the masses
Venezuela's government sold 29,762 kilograms of fish and other marine products to the masses in 2010, at a discount. This represents 65,476 pounds, or 0.035 ounces of fish and marine products per Venezuelan per year. However, when the annoucement was proudly posted by the Venezuelan News Agency

they pointed out the products were sold to 15,198 families. This represents 4.3 pounds of fish per family in 2010. This is 0.083 pounds per week for the families which did benefit from this great government program, which gave the families a significant discount versus the prices given by the capitalist distribution system. :eyes:

1. This is...
...considered news?

The only other thing that happened in Venezuela that day was that paint dried and grass grew?

2. This is.....Considered news.
In other news, Cuba's ambassador to Venezuela, Rogelio Polanco, gave a speech in which he said Cuban farmaceutical technology will be transferred to Venezuela in the future.

Venezuela sends 100,000 barrels per day of crude oil to Cuba, at highly discounted prices. This is worth about $9 million per day at today's prices. Or about $3.3 billion per year. The amounts paid by Cuba for this oil is unknown, because Venezuela's government no longer has the transparency needed to understand what they're doing with the oil, or the money.
