March 6th is the anniversary of the Battle of the Alamo
As a historic point, I'd like to post the Mexican battle charge, "A Degüello"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VE1ydDg8uQ4

The name of the battle charge, "A Degüello" means literally, "to the slitting of the throat"

It was an order to the troops, that no quarter should be expected, nor granted.

All prisoners captured in battle were to be executed by slitting their throats from ear to ear.

General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana made it famous at the Battle of the Alamo.

When General Santa Ana's troops arrived at the San Antonio, the filibusters supported by the government of the United States, took refuge in the fortress of The Alamo. General Santa Ana asked for their surrender, but they responded with a cannon volley. Angered, Santa Ana responded by ordering the battle charge "A Degüello". At 5:00Am on the morning of March 6th, the assault on the fortress was ordered. The bloody assault was execute by lance, bayonet, and axe. Everyone inside the fortress, save for women and children, were executed.
