Students march for better budget
In the light of the refusal of University Education Minister Yadira Córdova to talk to the students on hunger strike in front of the local chapter of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Caracas, students are planning to escalate their protests. Next March 15, they will rally and go to the National Assembly (AN).

The news was given by the president of the Federation of University Student Councils, Diego Sharifker, after a meeting held on Thursday. The event was attended by the Venezuelan Association of University Presidents (Averu); the Federation of Associations of University Professors of Venezuela (Fapuv) and the Federation of University Student Councils (FCU).

"Today (Thursday), a very clear decision has been made in view of disrespect by the Ministry of University Education and Minister Yadira Córdova herself, when saying that she would no meet with the student community just because we have not meet their requests. We would like to clarify that on Tuesday, March 15, we will go from the Rector's Square (Central University of Venezuela, UCV) to the National Assembly in order to request the government immediate answers," Sharifker said in leaving the meeting.
