Honduras rules out closure of embassies
Honduras President's Office denied on Wednesday the news about the shutdown of its embassies in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador and Venezuela, as announced on Wednesday by Honduras Foreign Minister Mario Canahuati.
"At no time, has the government headed by President Porfirio Lobo Sosa decided to close embassies in South American countries where Honduras used to have diplomatic missions," read a statement released by Honduran presidential palace, Efe quoted.
"On the contrary, the foreign policy implemented by President Lobo Sosa is aimed at establishing diplomatic and trade relations with all countries in the world."
Honduras' Foreign Minister had stressed his country's interest in resource allocation to open trade offices in other countries.
