So, Obama leaves Brazil, and what happens ...

Obama left Rio for Santiago this morning.

As soon as he was gone, the Brazilian government called for an immediate cease-fire in Libya.

Talk about a send-off. Oh well, at least Itamaraty waited until Obama was gone.

-----Jornal do Brasil ---------

2. Media pack traveling with Obama

As far as I know have NOT reported that there was anger among some Brazilians that Obama had declared his "war" on Libya while in Brazil.

You will recall that Brazil abstained on the U.N. resolution, so this call for a cease-fire in Libya as soon as possible is consistent with Dilema and Itamaraty's previous stance on the matter.
