16 Colombian soldiers indicted over 'false positive' murders

A human rights prosecutor ordered the arrest of 10 soldiers over the murder of a civilian in the department of Casanare in 2007 and a further six soldiers were charged over a similar incident in 2004, in the Antioquia department.

In the first incident, the soldiers are being investigated for the murder of a protected person, kidnapping and false testimony over the murder of a civilian on June 8, 2007 in Sabana de la Sierra, rural area of the town of Villanueva, central Casanare.

In the second case, one officer and five soldiers were charged for their alleged involvement of an unidentified young man in the rural area of Yarumal, in the northwest department Antioquia on October 15, 2004.

These cases are part of a practice known as "false positive", and involve the killing of civilians by military personnel who present them as rebels to show results to their superiors and receive benefits such as days off.More than 2,000 similar "false positive" cases are being investigated by judicial authorities, with around five hundred military linked to the incidents.

1. I want to know when Alvaro Uribe and Bush Jr. go to jail for setting this policy up.

These murders were part of military POLICY funded by $7 BILLLION in U.S. taxpayer dollars. They were part of the criminal enterprise that the Colombian government had become--with ties to death squads and drug trafficking, bribery, vast illegal domestic spying, theft of land from FIVE MILLION peasant farmers, and all manner of corruption, at the highest levels of government, and with the U.S. military and its war profiteers embedded in the country.

Like Bush Jr. and his fellow master criminals, so, too, Bush tool Alvaro Uribe. My thesis is that he was charged with consolidating the trillion dollar-plus cocaine revenue stream into fewer hands, so that the Bush Cartel, the CIA and U.S. banksters would get more of it. We're talking "Murder Inc.," and probable U.S. embassy and U.S. military involvement in "Murder Inc."

As with the torture at Abu Ghraib and at U.S. torture dungeons around the world, only the lowliest of operatives get prosecuted--if sacrificial lambs are needed--and the real perps not only go scot free, they get coddled and protected by the U.S. government. The Obama administration has gone to extraordinary lengths to keep Alvaro Uribe out of jail in Colombia, and to "launder" his image, and you gotta wonder why. They've done the same thing for Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld. And you gotta wonder why.
