1. The failed terror attack is a wonderful opportunity, a gift really, that has allowed us to more clearly see the flaws in the system while no one was hurt in the attempt.
2. The GOP shamelessly uses everything as a way to score political points and contributes nothing to governing. They see serious national issues as little more than a high school football game they want to win at all cost, and they actively work to undermine national interests for their own political benefit. (Every one of their criticism should be brought back to this narrative!)

who actually could use it somewhere. And we can use it in our discussions with whoever. I just think Democrats get too caught up in the endless stream of GOP criticism and get defensive. The way to go on the attack is point out the process: the GOP criticizes just for the sake of criticizing, and it is harmful to the national interest. If we get caught up in the content of every criticism, we give it energy, and we are always on the defensive. We should attack them for always following political self-interest and placing it above national interest in every instance. We should connect the dots. If we keep repeating this meme, it will diminish them more and more.
