It would be well within the rights of Obama as President to tell the GOP to sit down and shut up. They are trying to panic the people again. They need to be slapped in the face before their cowardice rubs off on other people.

Haven't we had enough damage to our country as the result of GOP hysteria? Obama should tell them to shut up, find their blankies, and go suck their thumbs in the corner. The adults are in charge now.

3. The media (4th estate) is the failure point
As long as the media holds the water for the GOP nothing will change. I think it is time to break up the mega media corporations to allow more competition but also to dilute the absolute strangle hold they have on the country.

C'MON quit trying to foist this bullshit on us -- we've had ENOUGH...

5. Not really. The GOP panic/yellow is showing through this time.
I think they have cried wolf one too many times. One too many GOP-incited stampedes this time. Without Bush and Cheney actually in the White House, Al Qaeda is severely handicapped. We won't be panicked into another war like we were under the GOP.
