Edited on Tue Jan-05-10 08:06 PM by Peacetrain
Sorry saffron.. you did not want anything to do with HCR..you did everything you could to derail it.

Trying now to whine that the President is breaking a promise for transparency is just disingenuous.

We have had 9 months of transparency and the limits you were willing to go to to bring it down.. (the midnight and 1 AM votes were thanks to the repubs)

Transparency has exposed you.

The President did not promise to let you destroy everything he is trying to do and in the long the country so you can whine 24/7

He kept his promise on transparency.. we see you for what you are

28. Your problem, jenny, is that you and yours...
have seen this thing from day one as a battle against the republofucks, only caring about the "WIN", very little consideration of what this corporate give-away will do to our country, you are blinded by the quest for victory that you will sacrifice EVERYTHING to achieve your Pyrrhic victory. Time to step back and see that this president you are so blindly supporting does not have the country's best interests in mind on this issue. This bill does more long-term harm than any good. It must be killed.:*

33. The Roe decision was the high water mark for reproductive rights. It's been downhill ever since!
It goes without saying that this does not by any means prevent us from demanding the unconditional annulment of all laws against abortions or against the distribution of medical literature on contraceptive measures, etc. Such laws are nothing but the hypocrisy of the ruling classes. These laws do not heal the ulcers of capitalism, they merely turn them into malignant ulcers that are especially painful for the oppressed masses. Freedom for medical propaganda and the protection of the elementary democratic rights of citizens, men and women, are one thing. The social theory of neomalthusianism is quite another. Class-conscious workers will always conduct the most ruthless struggle against attempts to impose that reactionary and cowardly theory on the most progressive and strongest class in modern society, the class that is the best prepared for great changes.

The Working Class and NeoMalthusianism (1913)

6. So let me get this straight.. you want the republicans back in the process?
After nine months of them fighting everything, even when we tried to bring them in.. let them write amendments, (that they then voted against) you want them back in the middle of it. The bills have passed both houses..

Speaking of busses.. if I went back three or four weeks ago, will I find posts from you demanding that the Democrats act unilaterally?

HMMMMMM let me guess

I do not care if Ronnie himself rises from the grave to kill this shit pile. It must die. Those who call them selves "progressive" yet shill this bill are disingenuous,at best. And if "Democrats" had acted unilaterally to get a better bill, that would have been a good thing, but it has been shown that THIS is the bill that this administration WANTS passed. The corporatist wing of the party is in control. So at this point KILL THE BILL ANY WAY, ANY HOW!!!:P
